For the second consecutive year, the MAPFRE Group has been named a core component in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, the world’s most recognised ranking of corporate social responsibility (CSR).
MAPFRE’s on-going inclusion in this list of leading sustainability companies represents a significant recognition of the Group’s work as its CSR activity was evaluated by an external, independent agency.
Each year, SAM, an investment boutique focused exclusively on sustainability investing, and Dow Jones Indexes, a leading global index provider, invites the world’s 2,500 largest companies from the 57 sectors to report on their sustainability performance.

This year, SAM and Dow Jones announced that 41 companies would be added to, and 23 firms will be deleted from, the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, resulting in a total of 342 components. This includes 22 insurance companies.
